Welcome to The Public Market. This idea was years in the making and took many people to make this happen. Filled with vendors of every variety and type, you can find anything from artisan soaps and jewlery, to antiques, chocolates and rare books. Not only can you find all of these things or spend time in the Wizard's Arcade with family, or simply sit in Market Square and enjoy the setting.

Chemainus, a town dedicated to local artists, decadent food destinations, and boutique shopping makes this world renowned town very special.
Located along the Pacific shore, the waters are warm, and the sun is bright. This town draws in so many people each year, The Public Market is settle into the heart of Chemainus. Located directly across from Waterwheel Park – and just over the way the ocean – we have a tremendously spectacular setting to welcome you into.
Our Chemainus Theatre Festival operates year-round bringing live professional performances into the downtown core. The parks are lovingly adorned with carvings in homage to the First Nations culture and greenspace is plenty. Our World famous giant wall murals are see throughout the town depicting the history and how it became what it is today.
